Mona Xia was born to TingkangXia and HongFu in 1989, in Columbus, Ohio.  Mona has lived in Atlanta  since the age of one.  She is currently a  senior at Northview High and loves being involved with her school and community.   She is a member of the Northview Chamber Orchestra, Tutors-in-Action-Network,  the Varsity Basketball Cheerleading Squad, the Step Team, and the Atlanta Professional Dance   School. Mona is proud of  her Chinese heritage and was among the first-ever graduating class of Atlanta Contemporary Chinese   Academy. Mona enjoys  trying new things and living her life to the fullest, but she loves her family more  than anything else.  In the future, she aspires to be an international  news reporter.
